 Dear Friends:Welcome to the website of the South Peninsula Area Republican Coalition. SPARC is a local, grass-roots political organization, founded in 2000, and built on the shared Republican principles of individual liberty and responsibility, low taxes, strong national defense, limited government and leadership in world freedom. SPARC's role is to provide information and extend local support for Republicanism and the election of qualified Republicans. SPARC is affiliated with the California Congress of Republicans, a chartered organization of the California Republican Party, and is a strong voice for all Republicans in the Bay Area. Our geographical focus is San Mateo, Santa Clara, and neighboring counties, including the communities of Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, Belmont, San Carlos, Atherton, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Woodside, Stanford, Palo Alto and East Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Saratoga, Campbell, and San Jose. SPARC hosts over a dozen events each year and co-sponsors many more. Events are listed on this website with convenient online registration available. In most cases, SPARC events are also open the general public. Membership in SPARC provides for and enhances the development of camaraderie with a great group of individuals who believe in the ideals of the Republican Party. Not only will you learn about the important issues of the day, but you'll meet key contributors to Republican politics in our local communities, the state, and even at the national level. Plus you'll just plain enjoy yourself in the company of other Republicans who share the same vision of a prosperous, strong, and noble America. The board then selects its Executive Committee officers and includes a cross section of legal, finance, business and community leaders. The Board of Directors meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m., and we welcome your attendance. If you wish to attend the meeting, please call us at 650-917-9125 for the location.
